INDIRECT AIR CONDITIONING CYCLE TEST RIG
RANGE OF EXPERIMENTS :
- To study all components used in Air Conditioning system.
- To study the Vapor compression Refrigeration cycle.
- To determine the Refrigeration Effect, Work Input, Actual C.O.P., Carnot C.O.P., Theoretical C.O.P., Relative C.O.P., Ton of Refrigeration, and Plant Efficiency.
EXPERIMENTAL SETUP :
- Compressor : Hermetically sealed compressor.
- Condenser : Water Cooled condenser made out of
copper coiled pipe & pressurised water
shower of matching capacity with fan cooling.
- Storage Room : 3 Ft x 3 Ft x 3 Ft with double wall insulated.
Suitable small door.
- Evaporator : Air passed evaporator made out of copper
pipe & Aluminum fins of matching capacity
with fan cooling.
- Expansion device : Thermostatic expansion valve
(Danfoss make).
- Centrifugal blower to circulate the air through the stream in
the ducts of 200X 200mm. size.
- Preheater and reheater fitted in the duct.
- Energy Meter : For power measurement of compressor.
- Pressure Gauge : 2 Nos. for H.P., L.P. measurement
- Suitable filter/drier.
- Hand Shut Off type Service valve.
- Rotameter for Refrigerant flow measurement.
- Set of thermocouples.
CONTROL PANEL :
- 12 Channel Digital Temperature Indicator
- HP-LP Cutout : Make Ranco /Danfoss or Equivalent.
- Switches: For compressor, condenser fan,
Dehumidifier Heater, blower & boiler heater.
- Voltmete: 0 – 250 V.
- Ammeter: 0 – 15 A.
SPACE REQUIRED : 2.5 m. (L)x 1.4m.(W).

SERVICE REQUIRED : 1. Power Supply: 440 V. A.C., 50 Hz.
