RANGE OF EXPERIMENTS TO BE CARRIED OUT :

  1. To determine the thermal conductivity of the metal rod.
  2. To study the temperature distribution along the length of a metal bar
  3. The experiments can be conducted at various values of input & calculation can be made accordingly.

EXPERIMENTAL SETUP:

  1. Heater Assembly.
  2. Copper Test rod
  3. Cooling Chamber with arrangement for water circulation.
  4. Shell with insulation powder.
  5. Measuring Cylinder for water
  6. Set of thermocouples.

CONTROL PANEL :

  1. 12 Channel Digital Temperature Indicator
  2. Dimmerstat : 0 – 2 A.
  3. Main’s On/Off Switch.
  4. Voltmeter :0 – 250 V.
  5. Ammeter :0 – 3 A.
