VICKERS HARDNESS TESTER

DESCRIPTION: The Vickers test can be used for all metals and has one of the widest scales among hardness tests. The unit of hardness given by the test is known as the Vickers Pyramid Number (HV) or Diamond Pyramid Hardness (DPH). The Vickers Hardness method is based on optical measurement system . A square base pyramid shaped diamond is used for testing in the vickers scale. Typically loads are very light, ranging from grams to several Kilograms
RANGE OF EXPERIMENTS :
1. To Measure the hardness of given specimen using Vickers hardness tester.
FEATURES :
a. Wide testing range, from soft metal such as lead, upto the hardest, kile hardened steel.
b. Tiny indentation allows testing of a precision finished parts.
c. This sheet metal are perfectly tested. Because applied load is very mall.
d. Same hardness number is obtained on the same specimen, regardless of the load applied.
e. Motorised loading and unloading cycle.
f. Built-in projection screen to get accurate results.
