TWO PHASE HEAT TRANSFER UNIT

RANGE OF EXPERIMENTS TO BE CARRIED OUT :

  1. To visualize the process of nucleate and film boiling on the heater and condensation on water cooling coils.
  2. To calculate Critical Heat Flux during process.
  3. To calculate heat release during condensation.
  4. The experiments can be conducted at various values of input & calculation can be made accordingly.

EXPERIMENTAL SETUP :

  1. Boiling/Condensation Glass Cylinder
  2. Heater Assembly.
  3. Condensate cooling coil.
  4. Assembly Mounting frame.
  5. Water flow measuring rotameter.
  6. Pressure Gauge for cylinder inside pressure measurement.
  7. Set of thermocouples.

CONTROL PANEL :

  1. 12 Channel Digital Temperature Indicator with single channel temperature controller.
  2. Dimmerstat : 0 – 2 A.
  3. Main’s On/Off Switch.
  4. Voltmeter :0 – 250 V.
  5. Ammeter :0 – 3 A.
  6. Pressure switch for safety device.
