STEFAN BOLTZMAN APPARATUS

RANGE OF EXPERIMENTS TO BE CARRIED OUT :
1. To determine the Radiation Stefan Boltzman Constant.
2. Observe the radiation phenomena.
3. To Plot temperature increases of test disk with respect to time.
4. The experiments can be conducted at various values of input(Temperature) & calculation can be made accordingly.

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION :
The apparatus as consist of copper hemisphere fixed on a flat nonconducting
plate. The outer surface of Hemisphere is enclosed in a metallic
water jacket. Thermocouples are attached to various points on surface of
Hemisphere. The disc is mounted in an insulating Bakelite sleeve is fitted in
a hole drilled in the center of base plate.
When the disc is inserted at the temperature, the response of
temperature change of the disc with time is used to calculate the Stefan
Boltzman constant.
