HEAT PIPE DEMONSTRATOR

RANGE OF EXPERIMENTS : 

  1. To determine thermal conductivity of heat pipe.
  2. To observe and plot the temperature distribution along the length of the heat pipe.
  3. To observe the thermo siphon action in heat pipe or heat pipe function.
  4. The experiments can be conducted at various values of input & calculation can be made accordingly.
  5. To calculate & compare effectivness of heat pipe & other good thermal conductor pipes. Vs thermal conductivity in composite structure.

EXPERIMENTAL SETUP : 

  1. Band Heater Assembly.
  2. Heat Pipe made of Stainless Steel
  3. Two Standard Pipes : Copper and Stainless Steel one each..
  4. Condenser Tank : 3 Nos.
  5. Set of thermocouples.

CONTROL PANEL 

  1. 12 Channel Digital Temperature Indicator
  2. Dimmerstat : 0 – 4 A.
  3. Main On/Off Switch.
  4. Voltmeter : 0 – 250 V.
  5. Ammeter : 0 – 5 A.
