BATCH DISTILLATION

The unit consists of a packed column with rasching rings. Two necked round bottom borosilicate glass flask with a heating metal is used as a reboiler. The vapor stream flows up the column & is condensed in the condenser. The flow rate of cooling water can be measured through Rota meter & that of the reflux by the Rota meter. The temperature of various streams can be measured.

FRACTIONAL DISTILLATION COLUMN

The distillation column made of SS material. An electrically heated reboiler would be installed at the bottom of the column. The vapors from the top of the column are condensed in the condenser by circulating cooling water. The condensate is collected in reflux drum and feed back to the column as reflux. The complete column is insulated
