LAGGED PIPE APPARATUS

RANGE OF EXPERIMENTS TO BE CARRIED OUT :

  1. To determine total thermal resistance & thermal conductivity of lagged pipe.
  2. To plot temperature gradient across the lagged material.
  3. The experiments can be conducted at various values of input & calculation can be made accordingly.
  4. To plot Heat input (supplied) Vs thermal conductivity in lagged pipe.

EXPERIMENTAL SETUP :

  1. Three numbers of lagged Pipes.
  2. Nichrome Wire Heater.
  3. Mounting bracket assembly.
  4. Set of Thermocouples.

CONTROL PANEL :

  1. 12 Channel Digital Temperature Indicator
  2. Dimmerstat : 0 – 2 A.
  3. Main’s On/Off Switch.
  4. Voltmeter : 0 – 250 V.
  5. Ammeter : 0 – 3 A.

SPACE REQUIRED :
