manual takes the step by step experiments to create a learning experience

All components such as Single acting cylinder , double acting cylinder ,
different control valves are securely mounted on panel and clearly identified
with a description. All components are fitted with push-to-connect fittings.
Two sizes of plastic tubing are supplied to connect the components to form
the circuits in the exercises.

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION :
The setup consist of power-pack, a four way spool valve used as a servo valve, the output cylinder, input and feedback linkages. A sliding spool type servo-valve supplies fluid to a piston whose motion is feed back through mechanical linkages to actuate the servo-valve and closed the loop. The translational output is converted into rotational output. The input and output displacements are transferred to recording pens through flexible linkages. A synchronous motor is used to feed paper strip at a constant speed on which input and output curve are obtained simultaneously. To simulate inertia load on the output side, a load disc is mounted of which weights are clamped and the inertia can be varied. A damper is attached to the output jack, to study the effect of damping on the output curve. Damping is varied and its effect on output is observed.

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION :
A hydro-Pneumatic accumulator is a device used specifically for storage of liquid under pressure. As liquids, for all practical purposes, are incompressible, this objective is achieved by utilizing the compressibility of gases.
A flexible rubber separator i.e., diaphragm is fitted into the accumulator shell. An inert gas – nitrogen – is filled into the diaphragm through a pressure valve to a pressure po. the diaphragm expands, filling the entire volume Vo of the accumulator shell. When the system (Circuit) pressure P1 is higher than the gas precharge pressure PO, the liquid enters the shell and diaphragm is compressed reducing the gas volume to V1. Should the liquid pressure rise to P2, the volume of gas reduces to V2 with an attendant rise in pressure, thus balancing the liquid pressure.
A potential energy is now created in the accumulator to be utilized whenever needed. The system is provided with hydraulic power pack for applying pressure.

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION : It is constructed by mechanically connecting two pistons, each working in a separate cylinder of a different diameter. As the pistons are mechanically linked, their force and stroke length are the same. If the diameters are different, the hydraulic pressure in each cylinder will vary in the same ratio as their areas: the smaller piston giving rise to a higher pressure. As the pressure is inversely proportional to the area, it will be inversely proportional to the square of the diameter.The working volume of the intensifier is limited by the stroke of the piston.
