AUTOMOBILE AIR CONDITIONING CYCLE TEST RIG
RANGE OF EXPERIMENTS TO BE CARRIED OUT :
- To study all components used in Automobile Air Conditioning system.
- To study the Vapor compression Refrigeration cycle.
- To determine the Refrigeration Effect, Work Input, Actual C.O.P., Carnot C.O.P., Theoretical C.O.P., Relative C.O.P. and Ton of Refrigeration.
EXPERIMENTAL SETUP :
- Compressor : Compressor with external motor.
- Condenser : Air Cooled condenser made out of copper pipe & Aluminum fins of matching capacity with fan cooling.
- Evaporator : Copper Coil evaporator with blower. Air is forced flow over the evaporator with the help of blower cooled before distributor.
- Expansion device : Constant pressure expansion valve.
- Energy Meter : For power measurement of compressor.
- Pressure Gauge : 2 Nos. for H.P., L.P. measurement
- Suitable filter/drier.
- Hand Shut Off type Service valve.
- Control chamber with ducting.
- Rotameter for Refrigerant flow measurement.
- Electric heaters.
- Pilot pressure operated throttling valve.
- Set of thermocouples.
CONTROL PANEL :
- 12 Channel Digital Temperature Indicator
- HP-LP Cutout : Make Ranco /Danfoss or Equivalent.
- Switches for compressor, condenser fan, blower & air heater.
- Voltmeter : 0 – 250 V.
- Ammeter : 0 – 15 A.
- Thermostat : Ranco or equivalent.
- Suitable electric controls.
SPACE REQUIRED :
1.5 mtr. Length x 1.0 mtr width.
